‘Catfishing’ is a commonly used word around social media these days, but what does it mean? In simple terms, catfishing is when someone creates a fake profile on social media sites, such as Facebook or Tinder, intending to deceive someone and lure them into a relationship and/or try to extract money or personal information from the victim.
